It is evident that we are living in unprecedented times. The pandemic has forced a 'new norm' into existence one that has seen our normal every day routines change dramatically. We have gone from all things outdoors to navigating all things indoor. This of course has brought with it its many challenges of which a new way of doing things had to be quickly realised and implemented.
Within the church weekly services had to go online as well as prayer meetings, bible studies, home groups and youth clubs, a new way of fellowship and doing things. For some it was great because it meant more exposure and reaching more people via social media and the internet, for others who were not social media savvy it was more of a learning curve that posed its own challenges.
In these 5 months of lock-down some churches and organisations have truly flourished by the grace of God. There are those however who have seen their numbers dwindle because of no social media or online presence, have struggled with finances because of the reduction of income due to cash collection restrictions, and simply have not had the manpower in place or know-how to implement new systems when the pandemic hit.

The Afro Beauty Company was founded by Diane Tuffuoh. After cutting all her hair off, she was frustrated by the lack of options and places to go for great products and advice under one roof. She found that the majority of retailers did not understand her hair type and quickly came to realise that this was a shared experience for many others too. Her desire for healthy hair mixed with her passion to change change the narrative of what's currently available under a single roof, birthed The Afro Beauty Company.
