Club Kingdom CIC

We are an organisation committed to serving the worldwide community. Our organisation is inclusive for ALL regardless of age, race religious belief, social background, LBGTQ, in short for all in our worldwide community.

We have a radio station, a record label and promotions and events company and with our team we hope to provide services locally, nationally and internationally. We want to undertake projects, develop artists deliver workshops and host events for the community. We provide services for and work with, youth, families, schools and businesses.

Our vision is to continue to work with and link with businesses and agencies to deliver projects, events and workshops in the hope we can deliver services to improve, transform and enhance social and business outcomes for the communities we serve.

BELOW IS A LIST OF A FEW PROJECTS THAT CLUB KINGDOM ARE INVOLVED IN

Club Kingdom in conjunction with one of our partner organisations are currently involved in the launch and fund raising for the project Raising Aspirations

The programme is aimed at 13-21 year olds from disadvantaged backgrounds with a view to providing them with access to businesses, entrepreneurs and professional networking. They will also be invited to artistic and cultural events that will broaden their range of experiences

Many children and young people who are affected by poverty factors have never experienced a life outside the lack and struggle of their home environments

It has also been proven by scientific research that poverty has an impact on the neurological development of a child. By providing a balance of opportunities we know that the brain can be transformed (neuroplasticity) as it responds to the new experiences. The effects of poverty if not broken are known to pass on through generations of families.

We are here to help

1) Increase the social currency of children and young people

2) Provide access to businesses and entrepreneurs

3) Give access to new artistic and cultural experiences which will broaden their

horizons

4) Development of personal and professional skills e.g.  public speaking skills, networking, strategic thinking etc

5) Have mentors and advocates allocated to each young person

The benefits of this program

1) A young person can remain on the programme for at least one year. It is not a short

term programme as many other similar programmes offer

2) Young people who access the programme for one year (or more) can after attaining

the age of 18 years old be trained to be an ambassador for the programme

3) Young people can self-refer to join the programme

Help us to help others

1)  By offering your time – e.g.  speaking at one of our events and sharing your expertise and knowledge

2) By donating monies – either sponsoring (one or more) children or young people; committing to a monthly amount throughout the year or alternatively making a one off lump sum donation to the programme.

3) Providing work experience, job skills training or internships for our young people

4) Offering free or discounted tickets for those on the programme to attend the theatre, concerts, exhibitions or dance performances

5) To invite children or young people to visit your place of business for a tour.

Food and Clothes Collection for the Homeless, Sufferers of Domestic Violence Refugees and Asylum Seekers

We are organising a drive to collect clothes, domestic household items, bed linen and toys for the homeless, and those fleeing domestic abuse, as well as refugees.

We are also looking for clothes suitable for those attending interviews. We are collecting winter coats both for the homeless, new arrivals into the UK some of whom are sleeping on the streets and some of the disenfranchised in temporary accommodation of all ages.

Our current partner is already providing hot meals direct to residents in temporary accommodation and hostels. They are also providing food parcels with donation from major supermarkets to those in hostels and temporary accommodation.

Our future hope is that we can extend this work to arrange catering vans both in London and nationwide to distribute hot meals and food that has been donated by some of the major supermarkets. As well as providing locations where hot meals, showers, shaves and haircuts will be available provided by some of our volunteers from local salons and catering businesses. We will be encouraging and advertising to recruit local volunteers from the age of eighteen upwards to help support these projects.

CIC Projects courses and workshops

During the first quarter of 2022 we hope to be launching our job skills and training programmes. This will be focused on on delivery to locally based community members. We have recruited an arts and media team who will be responsible for delivering three of our courses in Music, Film and the Spoken Word. These courses are targeted at young people both in and out of school and we also have focus on deterring some of our youth who are on the verge of or already involved in criminal activity.

Courses

We have a trainer Stephen Magero who delivers courses in The Spoken Word for young people from Year 5 right up to those who are incarcerated in maximum security prisons. There is no age limit for those incarcerated. He has had particular success with young people involved in County Lines drug activity, both in and out of school. Some of whom are in PRUs Pupil Referral Unit, who may have issues with confidence, troubled home life or involved in gang activity. His courses are to help to express ambitions, desires, and think about future possibilities and aspirations. He encourages the use of the spoken word and or positive drill or rap lyrics. He encourages them with this familiar genre to improve their presentation self expression and writing skills

Our music production mixing, sampling and sound engineering courses, delivered by Alrick Sylvester, for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners will be delivered by one of our new media and music team who specialises in music production and sound engineering. Alrick is an experienced sound engineer who can sympathise with the plight of young artists. His courses will give a good foundation, after which we hope some attendees will continue with further learning or we can look for work placements both within CK or with other organisations

We will be launching a video, documentary and podcasting course for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners run by Jamell McKenzie a film maker, content producer and script writer, another of our media and music team. Jamell has a vast in experience in making short films or documentaries as well as promo videos and adverts. As with the music and sound engineering course we hope to encourage attendees into further learning or employment within CK or with other organisations

Last but not least we hope to launch a beginners radio sound engineering course and a radio presenting course.

These courses will be run by CK and involve classroom as well as practical experience

Workshops

We are working on a mental health education and advice training presentation for parents, teachers and employers, using music, film and spoken word. This will be adapted for the relevant audience. Given the rise in mental health and suicide during this lockdown period, it is a subject close to our hearts and sufferers are often misunderstood or ignored, and more education and discussion is required around this issue.

Social Media Project

We hope to deliver a training manual video / workshop on Social media use for the wider community. This will education on the positives and negatives, such as how to make money using social media, podcasting, cyber bullying, the rise in criminal activity using social media, safety for children and young people and the list goes on. Once again it will be tailored for the audience. Ranging from school children, parents, teachers grandparents there is no age limit

Job Skills and Training

For our job skills training we hope to take on young local apprentices and give them on the job training them about various roles within CK and local businesses such as, Accountancy HR administration, building and construction, law, retail, catering etc. We hope to give them the opportunity to gain experience and training and for those wishing to further qualify, offer help and advice where necessary to pursue academic qualifications. We look to raise the aspirations of young people in our community and link them with mentors both locally and using business links. many of our children have missed out on taking exams and getting qualifications during this lock down period, and given their socio economic backgrounds, they will be unlikely to be given the same opportunities as some of their peers, who come from the more affluent backgrounds.

Social Justice and Crime

In 2022 we hope be launching projects that will focus on our disenfranchised youth some who are highly involved in criminality and others who are on the verge of embarking on a life in crime. We will be delivering workshops some of which will involve reformed ex offenders, and partnership with other organisations, who can speak to and advise on the pitfalls of crime and incarceration. This will involve using music, film, drama workshops, as well as conferences and discussion groups. We will be working with Youth Offending, Probation, Police (both retired and active), Youth workers, Social Workers Parents and Young People

Community Hub

We also hope to set up a community hub in 2022/2023 which will include a legal advice arm with links to locally based solicitors. We hope to also offer appropriate adult and police station representatives, from the local community who will be given full training in order to carry out these roles, some of whom will be parents who have experience in these matters.

We want to also form community links with Youth Offending, Probation, Police (both retired and active), Youth workers, Social Workers Parents and Young People police and provide a space for discussion and workshops to address some of the situations impacting our youth, in order to try and find workable solutions to try and improve the social outcomes for our young people and the community.
